Why I write about psychology
psychology helps us understand how people think, feel, develop, behave, and relate to others. It explores topics such as anxiety, emotional regulation, personality, attachment, child development, and psychological disorders.
My interest in psychology grew through academic study, research, and practical experience. I became especially interested in the gap between psychological research and how psychology is understood in everyday life.
My research experience taught me that psychological questions rarely have simple answers. Human experiences are shaped by development, relationships, environment, culture, and individual differences. Understanding the evidence while considering this human context is central to my approach.
Through this website, I aim to make psychology and psychological research easier to understand without unnecessary jargon or oversimplifying the evidence. When research is mixed or limited, I believe that uncertainty should be clearly acknowledged.
My goal is simple: to make psychology easier to understand without losing the complexity that makes it meaningful.
My approach to psychology writing
- Evidence-informed. Grounded in credible research, with uncertainty stated where it exists.
- Clear. Written for ordinary readers — no unnecessary jargon.
- Responsible. Educational content, never a diagnosis or treatment plan.
- Human. Warm and accessible rather than overly academic.
